Ep.18 Beverley Honig | Thought Leader & Global Innovator

This week on the Power Of Women podcast Di spends time with a true powerhouse, Beverley Honig. What is impressive is that Beverley didn’t hesitate to make herself available which is amazing given the many hats she wears; professor of practice, CEO, thought leader, global innovator and renowned entrepreneur. A thought-provoking discussion that shines a light on Beverley’s own narrative: as well as explores her advocacy of ‘women at the table’; a fresh perspective on the ‘glass-ceiling’; explores ‘imposter syndrome’ v. self-fulfilling prophecy; and the distinction between diversity and inclusion. When it comes to inclusion, it is very clear, we have a lot of work to do.

Ep.12 Beverley Pinder OAM | Ingredients For Mastering Your Own Power

Today on the Power Of Women podcast, Di sits down with Beverley Pinder OAM. Beverley has a unique story of resilience, success, love and the importance of always giving back – ingredients of her own Power. Beverley has captured her story in her inspirational autobiography, “Pride without Prejudice”, and shares that with Di on this episode of the podcast. Beverley’s professional, civic and personal journeys have been anything but smooth. Yet conquering the odds is part of her DNA and her drive and passion permeates throughout our conversation. Beverley’s life’s work has been underpinned by her strong concern for the less fortunate among us and her positivity is inspiring and infectious and a lesson for all of us. As a teenage immigrant Beverley experienced unconditional acceptance and racism. She sought acceptance via charity work and beauty contests, which became the foundation for a lifelong commitment to helping others. Throughout her life Beverley has given back to the community, however and wherever she can. Serving two terms as a politician in local government, she continues as a passionate supporter and advocate for a number of local charities and not-for-profits. Beverley was awarded a Medal of Order of Australia on 26 January 2022 for her contribution to a range of charities. An advocate for women and not afraid to call-out bullies, Beverley’s life story is filled with pointers for younger generations on how to achieve success in any field of life. An exemplar for the power of women.
